The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on June 19 that it recently held a presentation ceremony and implementation guidance training for the '2025 Lottery Fund Child and Youth Care Enhancement Program.'
The '2025 Lottery Fund Child and Youth Care Enhancement Program' is a project conducted by the Community Chest of Korea with support from the Lottery Commission. The program aims to minimize care gaps during the summer vacation and supports the operation of various customized programs, including camps, cultural experiences, and social skills development education.
This project selected 114 child and youth welfare institutions and facilities in Gwangju through an open call and review process that began in April, providing a total of 877 million KRW in support.
On June 16, a ceremony for delivering the project funds and implementation guidance training was held for the final selected institutions. During the ceremony, the purpose and direction of the project were shared, and guidelines for transparent budget execution and performance management were provided to ensure systematic implementation of the project.
Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, stated, "Through this program, we will ensure that care continues during the vacation period and create an environment where children and youth can grow up safely and healthily."
