Lee Donghak, CEO of Cocorink, made this statement at a press conference held on the 19th at El Tower in Yangjae, Seoul, during the launch event for the computing solution 'Klimax-408'.

Klimax-408 is a high-density computing server developed through a national project by the Ministry of Science and ICT. It was designed and manufactured using domestic technology. Based on PCIe 5.0 high-performance switching technology, it can be equipped with a variety of computing devices, including graphics processing units (GPUs) and neural processing units (NPUs). Each server can accommodate up to eight GPUs or domestically produced NPUs.

Its strengths include fast computation speed, an efficient energy structure, and low system configuration costs. Another advantage is its price competitiveness compared to foreign products. While providing higher computational performance than foreign servers of the same level, the system configuration cost is relatively lower.

Cocorink is currently developing a successor product, Klimax-720, which can be equipped with up to 20 GPUs or NPUs per server, following Klimax-408. This product is scheduled to be released in the second half of this year. With this announcement, the range of infrastructure options based on domestic technology is expected to expand significantly across industries requiring high-performance computing, such as AI, big data, and HPC.

After-sales service (A/S) was also highlighted as a key strength. Unlike foreign products, Cocorink can respond quickly to A/S requests anywhere in Korea. Lee Donghak emphasized, "In the case of foreign products, if a malfunction occurs, you may have to send it overseas and wait several months for it to return. In Korea, however, we can cover any location within eight hours."

Since 2008, Cocorink has been developing PCIe-based high-performance switching technology. The company began commercializing its products in 2011 and has since supplied servers to various clients. With this new product, Cocorink plans to actively target the domestic market, leveraging its partnerships with Hanul Semiconductor and Hanul Materials Science. Furthermore, the company aims to continue developing technology and supplying products to build a high-performance computing environment accessible to all, focusing on establishing an infrastructure ecosystem suitable for the AI era.

Lee Donghak stated, "With the acquisition of PCIe 5.0-based high-performance switching technology, we are now able to develop high-performance computing servers for a variety of purposes. Based on this, our goal is to become the world's leading manufacturer in the field of AI infrastructure." He added, "We will continue to introduce AI infrastructure solutions that achieve both technological independence and global competitiveness through our collaboration with Hanul Semiconductor and Hanul Materials Science."
