Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to be cloudy on the 20th, with rain beginning in the afternoon and significant variation in precipitation levels depending on the area.
The Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration forecasted that, due to the influence of a stationary front located in the central region on this day, Gwangju and Jeonnam will receive approximately 20 to 80mm of rain. The rain is expected to start in the afternoon, and the precipitation will be distributed in a long east-west band with a narrow north-south width, so both the intensity and the amount of rainfall may differ by region. There may also be temporary lulls in some areas.
The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high is expected to range from 25 to 28 degrees Celsius. Waves on the sea are expected to reach up to 2 meters in the coastal waters of the West Sea and the South Sea. The concentration of ultrafine dust is expected to remain at a "good" level.
The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "On this day in the West Sea, and the following day in both the West Sea and the South Sea, there may be gusts accompanied by thunder and lightning, so vessels navigating or operating in these areas should exercise caution."
