Wela to Participate in 2025 Seoul International Book Fair... "Offering Integrated E-Book and Audiobook Reading Experience"

The integrated reading platform Wela will participate as an official exhibitor at the 2025 Seoul International Book Fair, held from Wednesday, June 18 to Sunday, June 22, at COEX Halls A and B1.


At this book fair, the Wela booth will be divided into three main zones: an e-book experience zone, a reading AI experience zone, and an audiobook experience zone. Visitors will be able to read a selection of e-books from Wela's collection of 200,000 content items on-site, as well as experience audiobooks as they would listen to them in everyday life. Additionally, there will be a space to try out the 'AI TTS' feature, which reads books aloud in a voice that sounds natural and human-like?the first of its kind in Korea. There will also be a dedicated area to experience the 'AI Speed' function, which allows listeners to clearly understand books even when played at double speed, as if they were being read at normal speed.


In particular, there will be a special section introducing the works of author Kim Youngha, which are available on Wela as both e-books and audiobooks. In the audiobook experience zone, visitors can listen to , a recent release from actor Park Jungmin's publishing company Muje, which has gained popularity.


Interactive events will also take place at the venue. Programs include a 'stamp event', where visitors can complete missions in each experience zone to receive goods and a chance to win prizes, as well as author signing sessions and an audiobook concert. Notably, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 20, the 'Wela Audiobook Reading Concert' will be held at Book Meeting Hall 1. The event will feature a reading of by actor Park Jungmin, along with live performances of popular audiobooks such as and by professional voice actors.


Moon Taejin, CEO of Influential, the company operating Wela, stated, "Participating in this year's Seoul International Book Fair is an opportunity to showcase the direction of 'diverse reading experiences' that Wela pursues, as well as the evolution of technology-based content, directly to visitors." He added, "With the launch of our e-book membership as a starting point, we will expand our content lineup so that more users can enjoy reading without burden, and we will lead the way in providing an integrated reading experience that encompasses both audiobooks and e-books."
