Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation (President Nam Il Kim) and National Jeongdong Theater (CEO Seongsuk Jeong) signed a business agreement on June 18 to promote a special performance of "Dansim (單沈)" (hereafter referred to as "Dansim") in connection with the 2025 APEC Summit.
This agreement was established as part of a collaboration to present the new production "Dansim," commemorating the 30th anniversary of the founding of National Jeongdong Theater, as a special performance for the APEC Summit at the Gyeongju Expo Grand Park Culture Center.

The traditional performance play "Dansim" is a modern reinterpretation of the classic folktale "Simcheongjeon." The production is directed by Guho Jeong, choreographed by Hyejin Jeong, and features actress Sira Chae as a dancer, which has drawn significant attention. The show is currently enjoying a successful run at the National Jeongdong Theater.
Director Seongsuk Jeong stated, "It is very meaningful to be able to introduce 'Dansim,' a work of international caliber that only National Jeongdong Theater can present, to world leaders. We will do our utmost to widely promote the beauty of Korea to the world."
President Nam Il Kim said, "It is a great pleasure that, in this meaningful year marking the 50th anniversary of the designation of the Bomun Tourist Complex and the 30th anniversary of the opening of National Jeongdong Theater, our two institutions are joining hands to collaborate through culture and the arts."
