Dongshin University is accelerating its development as a global university by expanding cooperation with Chenla University in Cambodia (President Dr. Lima Y) in nurturing global talent and promoting Korean language education exchanges.
On the morning of June 18, Dr. Lima Y, President of Chenla University in Cambodia, along with Sem Vottra, Director of Human Resources Administration, and Seanguy Im, Chief Secretary to the President, visited Dongshin University. During the visit, Song Kyungyong, Vice President for External Cooperation at Dongshin University, and Cho Woong, Director of the Korean Language Center (also Director of the Chenla University Korean Language Center and former professor at Naju University), attended and discussed ways to enhance student exchanges and educational cooperation between the two universities.
The two universities discussed educational strategies for nurturing global talent and strengthening the Korean language proficiency of students at Chenla University in Cambodia. They also agreed to broaden practical communication. In addition, Dongshin University and Chenla University made a verbal agreement that a delegation from Dongshin University, including Vice President Song Kyungyong, will visit Chenla University in August to sign an official agreement.
Song Kyungyong, Vice President for External Cooperation at Dongshin University, stated, "We hope to go beyond simple student exchanges and become practical educational partners between our two countries. We will do our best to provide educational opportunities to students interested in the Korean language and to continue our cooperation for the nurturing of truly global talent."
Located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Chenla University is an educational institution specializing in training professionals in medicine and nursing, and also operates a nationally designated vocational training institution (RCRC Center) in Cambodia.
