Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced on the 19th that it held a donation ceremony for the proceeds of the 14th Dong-A Pharmaceutical Love Sharing Bazaar at the Dongdaemun District Social Welfare Council in Dapsimni-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, on the previous day (the 18th).

The donation ceremony was attended by Baek Sanghwan, president of Dong-A Pharmaceutical, Park Sangjong, chairman of the Dongdaemun District Social Welfare Council, and other related officials.

At the ceremony, Dong-A Pharmaceutical donated 137.9 million won to the Dongdaemun District Social Welfare Council, which included not only its own proceeds from the bazaar but also those from participating sponsor companies. The donated funds will be used to support low-income and marginalized groups through emergency living expenses, scholarships, support for free meal centers, and the installation of wheelchair ramps.

Celebrating its 14th year, the Love Sharing Bazaar has been held since 2009 to promote a culture of giving and contribute to the development of the local community, with all proceeds donated. This year, 80 employees from Dong-A Socio Group participated as volunteers, and more than 4,000 people, including local residents of Dongdaemun-gu and Dong-A Socio Group employees, visited the bazaar to join in the spirit of giving.

A Dong-A Pharmaceutical official stated, "The Love Sharing Bazaar, now in its 14th year, has established itself as a representative charity bazaar in Dongdaemun-gu," and added, "Thanks to the many local residents who participated, we were able to deliver these valuable proceeds to marginalized groups."
