Recruiting 400 Delivery and Courier Workers
Monthly Coupons Worth 10,000 to 20,000 Won Provided
A rest area for delivery riders and parcel couriers will be established in Dong-gu, Daegu.
The Dong-gu District Office of Daegu (headed by Yoon Seokjun) announced on June 19 that it will launch the "Mobile Worker Rest Area Installation and Support Project" to improve the working environment for the increasing number of mobile workers.
Dong-gu, Daegu has designated CU convenience stores as rest areas, as these stores have strengths such as the ability to issue their own coupons, operate 24 hours a day, run approximately 80 stores, and provide cooling shelters during heat waves. Among these, 15 locations will be operated as rest areas.
Four hundred mobile workers selected from within the district must complete a cyber safety training course and will receive coupons worth about 10,000 to 20,000 won per month. Workers can purchase necessary items at the rest areas, use restrooms, and charge their mobile phones.
Yoon Seokjun, head of the Dong-gu District Office of Daegu, stated, "As delivery services have become deeply rooted in our daily lives, we will work to improve the working environment for mobile workers and build a warm community where everyone can be happy."
