Mobile App 'AGIR' Sees 205% Year-on-Year Increase in Downloads
Overseas Users Account for 64% of Total MAU
APR announced on June 19 that its mobile app 'AGIR' has surpassed 1 million cumulative global downloads.
According to APR, as of the end of last month, the global cumulative downloads of AGIR reached 1 million, representing an increase of approximately 205% compared to the same period last year.
The proportion of global users is also notable. APR stated that, as of the end of last month, overseas users accounted for about 64% of the total monthly active users (MAU), significantly exceeding the domestic user ratio of 36%. This is attributed to the expansion of overseas sales of Medicube beauty devices, which has led to the app being actively used in various countries.
Since its launch in March 2022, the AGIR app has grown into a platform that provides personalized home care services in conjunction with the Medicube AGE-R beauty devices. Through Bluetooth, it can be used in tandem with second-generation Medicube AGE-R beauty devices such as 'Booster Pro', 'Ultra Tune 40.68', and 'High Focus Shot'.
Previously, in the fourth quarter of 2023, APR completely revamped the app and introduced AGIR 2.0. Following this update, the MAU increased by about seven times, now exceeding 230,000. From June to August last year, a variety of new content and features were continuously introduced, focusing on Korea, the United States, and Japan.
The app's community features have also been expanded. Content-focused services have been added, such as 'Medicube Talk', where users share tips and routines for using beauty devices, and 'AGIR TV', which provides a variety of beauty information through videos. Points accumulated through app activities can be exchanged for Medicube gift certificates at the 'Point Shop', and these gift certificates can be used like cash on the official Medicube online mall.
An APR representative stated, "Surpassing 1 million global downloads of the AGIR app is the result of digitally expanding the positive experiences of Medicube device users," adding, "We will continue to enhance various content, features, and the overall user experience so that users around the world can more easily and effectively practice home beauty care services."
