This agreement was made as a result of Kia's vision to realize "Platform Beyond Vehicle" and GeoYoung's goal to create an eco-friendly business ecosystem in the pharmaceutical distribution sector by transitioning to electric vehicles.
The two companies plan to cooperate in three areas: converting GeoYoung's pharmaceutical delivery vehicles to the PV5 model, providing customized charging solutions, and conducting operational demonstrations of the vehicle management solution "Fleos Fleet."
The companies will jointly establish a PBV conversion program for currently operating pharmaceutical delivery vehicles, aiming to replace existing diesel vehicles in the field with PBV models optimized for logistics operations and vehicle management characteristics.
In addition, by utilizing the "Kia e-Life Package Biz" program, they plan to provide customized charging solutions tailored to GeoYoung's business journey and support the creation of an advanced electrification ecosystem for the smooth operation of the PV5.
Kia also plans to enhance the efficiency of pharmaceutical delivery operations by launching the first operational demonstration of its vehicle management solution "Fleos Fleet" on the PV5. Through this demonstration, the companies expect to safely and efficiently manage multiple vehicles in an integrated manner?monitoring vehicle status, analyzing driver behavior, and enabling remote control without the need for separate devices?thereby contributing to innovation and strengthening competitiveness in GeoYoung's pharmaceutical distribution.
A Kia representative stated, "By supplying the PV5 optimized for GeoYoung's delivery environment, which supplies pharmaceuticals to major hospitals and pharmacies nationwide, we aim to improve delivery efficiency and support the creation of an eco-friendly pharmaceutical logistics ecosystem through vehicle electrification. We will continue to provide customized solutions that meet the specialized needs of customers across various industries and fulfill our role as a business partner."
