Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Operates 'Youth Employment Bus' for the Fourth Time

A Regional Matching Platform to Overcome Employment Barriers

The Yangsan Branch Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (headed by Kwon Kuhyung) is accelerating field-based job matching efforts to address the chronic job mismatch among young people.

On June 18, the Yangsan Branch operated the 'Youth Employment Bus' for about 30 young people from Gimhae, organizing a visit to the Samyang Foods factory located in the Miryang Nano National Industrial Complex.

This was the fourth operation of the program this year. It is a wide-area employment linkage program designed to bridge the gap between companies with job openings but difficulty recruiting young job seekers, and young people searching for employment.

The 'Youth Employment Bus' is a project first introduced by the Yangsan Branch in October last year. It has gained attention as a one-stop recruitment platform that combines on-site job experience with recruitment interviews. On this day, participants attended a job briefing session at Samyang Foods, toured the production facilities, and even participated in actual job interviews.

The event also included many young people who had previously given up on job searching and are currently participating in the 'Youth Challenge Support Project,' providing them with an opportunity to overcome barriers to entering society. The Yangsan Branch organized a separate job experience program for these participants, focusing on boosting their motivation for employment.

Since October last year, the Samyang Foods Miryang Plant has held a total of 13 recruitment events in cooperation with the Yangsan Branch, interviewing more than 320 job seekers from nearby regions such as Busan, Gimhae, and Miryang, and hiring over 130 people.

Kwon Kuhyung, head of the Yangsan Branch, stated, "The Youth Employment Bus is more than just a field trip program; it is a practical employment platform that leads to actual hiring." He emphasized, "We will continue to provide real job opportunities to young people who have given up on job searching and those who have been unemployed for a long time, through ongoing cooperation with outstanding local companies."
