On June 18, the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) announced that it had held the 'G.E.T. & Re:Born Gwangju Energy Industry Technology Exchange Meeting' together with the Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority, Korea Development Bank, and Korea Electric Power Corporation to strengthen the technological competitiveness of the energy industry in the Gwangju region and promote investment linkage.

Approximately 150 participants, including representatives from energy-related companies, investors, and policy institutions, attended the event. The meeting provided a platform for promising companies to deliver IR presentations and for participants to share information and investment opportunities related to the energy industry.

The Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority introduced its investment attraction strategies centered on the Smart Energy Industrial District and presented customized corporate support policies. The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency and Gwangju Technopark offered guidance on various growth support programs, including tenancy support, technology development, and funding linkage, providing practical directions for addressing on-site needs.

Seven energy companies also participated, sharing their technological capabilities and growth visions through individual IR presentations. The presenters included: Jeon Seok, CEO of Grida Energy; Choi Taewon, CEO of U Energy Co., Ltd.; Yeo Unnam, CEO of Dawon DNS Co., Ltd.; Na Younghak, CEO of Ecov Co., Ltd.; Lee Gwangwon, CEO of Jet EV Co., Ltd.; Cho Hyunggeun, Head of Research at Connected Co., Ltd.; and Jung Woogeun, CEO of Celliance Co., Ltd.

Through on-site consultation booths operated by the Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, companies received tailored support information. Additionally, time was set aside for policy institutions, companies, and investors to freely exchange opinions and communicate, fostering an active atmosphere of exchange and collaboration.

Lee Gwanghee, Director of the GIST Energy Valley Technology Institute, stated, "We hope this event will serve as a practical catalyst for creating a Gwangju-style energy industry ecosystem, going beyond simple exchange and communication," and added, "The Energy Valley Technology Institute will continue to actively support the sustainable growth of the regional industry as a platform connecting technology, industry, investment, and policy."

The institutions that co-hosted the event plan to use this technology exchange meeting as an opportunity to consider the following: operating a regular technology and policy linkage platform; providing investment matching based on follow-up feedback to IR presentations; and expanding customized support based on policy demand.
