"Suggestions for President Lee Jaemyung"... New Administration Launches Public Communication Platform on the 18th

The National Policy Planning Committee, serving as the transition team for the Lee Jaemyung administration, launched an online public communication platform tentatively titled "Suggestions for President Lee Jaemyung" on June 18. The goal is to encourage public participation in policymaking and directly reflect citizens' input in national policy agendas.

Anyone can freely submit their opinions after a simple authentication process by accessing the communication platform's website. Opinions will be accepted until July 23. The platform can be accessed by searching for "National Communication Platform" on Naver or Daum. Links will also be provided via pop-up windows on Government24, the National Petition Portal, and the main websites of central ministries and local governments.

Through the platform's bulletin board, citizens can freely propose ideas in various areas such as the economy, society, political administration, and foreign affairs and security. Public opinions can be submitted not only through the online platform but also by mail or in person.

Among the submitted proposals, topics that garner broad public support will undergo a process of public discussion, including both online and offline forums involving experts, ordinary citizens, and relevant government officials. These ideas will be further refined and reflected in future policy development.

Opinions submitted to the platform will be systematically categorized and organized using artificial intelligence (AI) functions. After review by the relevant ministries, they will be incorporated into national policy agendas and developed into official policies.

Coinciding with the platform's launch, a public contest is being held to determine the official name for the communication platform, currently operating under the tentative title "Suggestions for President Lee Jaemyung." Public submissions will be accepted for three days until June 20. About ten candidate names will be selected through expert review, and the final name will be determined based on the results of an online public vote.
