Nationwide Campaign Achieved Through Joint Efforts of Headquarters and Franchisees
Yugane, a leading Dakgalbi franchise in South Korea operated by Viol Food Global Co., Ltd. (CEO Kwon Jihoon), received a commendation for its contributions to the blood donation program from the Korean Red Cross at the "2025 Blood Donor Day" event held at Gwanghwamun Square on June 13.
World Blood Donor Day (June 14) is an international observance established to highlight the importance of blood donation and to express gratitude to blood donors. This year marks the fourth time the event has been held in South Korea. The event is co-hosted by the Korean Red Cross and the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
This award recognizes Yugane's contributions to the development of the blood donation program since signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Red Cross in February, including support in the form of discount vouchers worth approximately 2.8 billion KRW. CEO Kwon Jihoon attended the ceremony in person, adding significance to the honor.
Kwon Jihoon, CEO of Yugane, stated, "Blood donation is more than just a simple act of giving; it is a culture of sharing life." He added, "This commendation is the result of the combined efforts of not only our headquarters, but also our franchisees, employees, and partners nationwide." He went on to say, "Yugane will continue to expand sharing activities based on our brand philosophy and take an active role in contributing to local communities."
Meanwhile, in addition to its support for blood donation, Yugane continues to expand its connection between the brand and society through a variety of consumer-oriented activities. These include providing HMR (Home Meal Replacement) sponsorship for university student events, offering sponsored gift certificates, and collaborating with local delivery platforms to provide partnership discounts.
