Operation of 'Joint Pavilion' by 12 Export Companies
Showcasing Processed Foods Including Abalone and Maesaengi
Wando County in South Jeolla Province announced on June 18 that it participated in the '2025 Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition' held recently at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, where it operated the 'Excellent Export Companies Joint Pavilion.'
The 'Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition' is the largest food-specialized B2B (business-to-business) exhibition in Korea and serves as a platform to strengthen exchange and cooperation among domestic and international food-related companies. This year, more than 1,600 companies from 52 countries participated, operating over 3,000 booths. Various companies took part with the aim of promoting seafood consumption and pioneering overseas markets.

The Wando County Joint Pavilion featured 12 outstanding local export companies, including Gyeongyeong Susan Co., Ltd., The Full Moon Co., Ltd. Wando, Haecheongjeong Co., Ltd., Daehan Moolsan Co., Ltd., Wando Da Fisheries Co., Ltd., Haeseong International Co., Ltd., Haemiwon, Wando Sarang S&F, Wando Bada, Wando Mom, Wando Abalone Co., Ltd., and Pureunjeong Food Co., Ltd.
These companies showcased a variety of processed seafood products from Wando, such as freeze-dried abalone porridge, abalone fish cakes, abalone fried rice, abalone skewers, abalone samgyetang, abalone meal kits, processed maesaengi products, flatfish risotto, and tofu noodles. They also held tasting events, attracting significant attention from domestic and international buyers. Throughout the event, the Wando County Joint Pavilion was bustling with buyers seeking Wando seafood products.
Governor Shin Woo-cheol stated, "As the K-food trend spreads worldwide, interest in K-seafood is also rising rapidly. This exhibition was a great opportunity to promote the excellence of Wando seafood."
Governor Shin added, "We will continue to expand the scale of the joint pavilion at major domestic and international exhibitions and expos, supporting more companies to participate. We will also make ongoing efforts to promote seafood consumption and advance into overseas markets."
Meanwhile, Wando County plans to participate in the '2025 Korea Seafood Show,' which will be held at COEX in Seoul from July 1 to 3, where it will also operate a joint pavilion.
