The Chungnam Office of Education announced on the 18th that, in line with the launch of the Lee Jaemyung administration, it has established and officially begun operating the "Education Policy Response Team."
The response team, which will operate temporarily until August 31, is planned as a continuous response system to systematically analyze the new government's education policies and national agenda, and to prepare implementation measures for Chungnam education accordingly.
The team is led by Deputy Superintendent Kim Ilsu, with Planning Director Kim Heehong serving as deputy head. It is composed mainly of the chief team leaders from each department of the provincial office of education, and held its first meeting on the afternoon of the 17th.
The response team will focus on: analyzing government policy trends, media, and education-specialized publications; establishing internal strategies and promoting capacity-building training for members; strengthening external cooperation systems and proactively responding through policy demand forecasting; and formulating and implementing Chungnam-tailored policies in response to policy changes.
Superintendent Kim Jicheol stated, "It is most important to accurately understand the new government's educational philosophy and policy direction, and to transform them into policies that fit the realities of Chungnam education," adding, "We will take the lead in realizing future-oriented Chungnam education with the Policy Response Team at the center."
