Hongseong County in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 18th that it had signed investment agreements worth 22.3 billion won with two promising domestic companies at the joint investment agreement (MOU) signing ceremony held with the South Chungcheong Provincial Government and cities and counties in the main conference room of the provincial government on the 17th.
Eunseong Jeonjang Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of automotive electronic components, is a promising company that has led the automotive parts market since relocating its headquarters and factory from Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, to the Naepo Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex in 2020. Eunseong Jeonjang has decided to make a new investment due to the increase in production of electronic components driven by the growing supply of electric vehicles. The company plans to invest 7.3 billion won in the Naepo Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex by 2028 to build a new factory and hire an additional 55 employees.
Gwangcheon Gim Co., Ltd., the leading laver manufacturing and distribution company in Korea, plans to invest 15 billion won to establish a new production plant in the Gwangcheon Agro-Industrial Complex and hire 150 new employees, in response to the rising global popularity and increasing exports of Korean laver.
The county plans to actively provide administrative support, including permits and approvals, to ensure the successful implementation of these investment agreements with promising companies.
A county official stated, "We will actively support companies newly settling in our county so that they can establish themselves successfully, by expanding infrastructure and improving regulations in the future."
