Yongin City Partners with Local Companies to Support Children at Risk of Missing Meals

Agreement Signed for 'Happy Two Meals Project' with SK Ecoplant, Happy Narae, and Happy Dosirak

On June 18, Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it had signed a business agreement for the 'Yongin Special City Happy Two Meals Project' with SK Ecoplant, Happy Narae, and Happy Dosirak Social Cooperative at a meeting room in City Hall on the 17th. The project aims to support children at risk of missing meals in the local community.

The signing ceremony was attended by Sangil Lee, Mayor of Yongin, Jaeuk Lim, Head of Management Support Center at SK Ecoplant, Minyoung Cho, Head of Happy Narae Headquarters, and Joon Choi, Secretary General of Happy Dosirak Social Cooperative.


According to the agreement, from this month until December next year, the organizations and companies will use a fund of approximately 83 million won to provide side dishes and Onnuri gift certificates to 40 children at risk of missing meals.


The city will be responsible for identifying children at risk of missing meals, providing public resources, promoting the project, and recommending local organizations to participate. SK Ecoplant and Happy Narae will provide funding for the project to support children at risk of missing meals. Happy Dosirak Social Cooperative will carry out the project of providing lunch boxes to the children receiving support.


Mayor Lee stated, "I hope that this lunch box support project, established through this agreement, will serve as a good example for other companies and organizations, so that more children at risk of missing meals can receive support. We will actively support the project so that children can grow up healthy and bright and contribute to the development of our country and Yongin."
