In particular, the "Bookworm Escape Club," held during the Baekho Sports Festival, was a unique program that combined reading and games, receiving an enthusiastic response from participating students.

The "Bookworm Escape Club" is a reading experience program in which teams of two to three members read three designated books and complete a total of six missions prepared in the library, demonstrating teamwork.

The missions for this event included three types of reading quizzes, a metaverse campus-related quiz, a book cover picture puzzle, and the "Cone Hat Operation," where participants transport books while wearing cone hats. A total of 23 teams, comprising 55 participants, competed fiercely.

Participant Lim Geonsu, a sophomore in the Computer Information Department, expressed regret, saying, "I was in first place until the middle of the competition, but unfortunately, I didn't make it into the final rankings." Ryu Kangmin, a freshman in the AI Convergence Machinery Department, said, "It was my first time participating, and I had a great time solving problems with my teammates. It was as exciting as a sports festival."

Lim Seungwook, a sophomore in the AI Convergence Machinery Department and a member of the first-place team "Samsung Lions," beamed as he said, "After three attempts, I'm finally happy to have won first place." The first-place team received a prize of 450,000 won, the second-place team received 300,000 won, and the third-place team received 150,000 won. All participants were given commemorative gifts.

Meanwhile, the Yeungjin College Library previously won the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award at the 16th Library Innovation Ideas and Best Practices Contest for its "Bookworm Escape Club" program, which was designed to promote reading.
