Korea Exchange Promotes 'K-Derivatives Market' at FIA International Derivatives Conference

The Korea Exchange announced on June 18 that it participated in the 'FIA International Derivatives Conference' held in London, UK, where it conducted global marketing activities for the 'K-Derivatives Market' targeting major global institutional investors.

This event, organized by the FIA (Futures Industry Association), is the largest derivatives conference in Europe. It consists of approximately 20 conference sessions, marketing booths from about 30 institutions, and various networking events.

The UK is not only a key investment country, accounting for 10% of the total trading value in the domestic derivatives market by nationality last year, but also serves as the largest financial hub in Europe where major global investment institutions are concentrated, making it one of the core regions for the Korea Exchange's global marketing efforts.

On the 17th, the Korea Exchange held an investment briefing that attracted significant interest from local investors, where it explained its main initiatives, including the launch of the night market and the expansion of its derivatives product lineup.

This event was particularly meaningful as it promoted the introduction of the night derivatives market and encouraged trading participation among European investors, who are expected to benefit the most from the improved market accessibility following the launch of the night market.

In addition, the Korea Exchange held a meeting with Eurex, the largest derivatives exchange in Europe, to discuss details regarding the listing of Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Korea products and to exchange views on the current status of systems and regulations related to virtual asset-based derivatives products in Europe.

The Korea Exchange plans to continue its global marketing activities for the K-Derivatives Market. In September, it will host the global forum 'FIA Forum Busan 2025' in Busan, a global hub for derivatives finance, in cooperation with the FIA.
