[Click e-Stock] "Emgen Solution Expected to Benefit from Potential Strengthening of Serious Accidents Punishment Act under New Administration"

On June 18, independent research firm ValueFinder analyzed that Emgen Solution is expected to benefit from the strengthening of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, as the new administration emphasizes workers' rights and safety.

Lee Choongheon, a researcher at ValueFinder, stated, "On May 28, the Democratic Party presented 14 labor pledges through the '21st Presidential Election Democratic Party Policy Pledge Book.' The government announced plans to improve working conditions for employees and establish an industrial accident prevention system. In line with this, Emgen Solution unveiled its AI autonomous firefighting robot for the first time last month."

Researcher Lee analyzed, "Since 2014, there have been approximately 450,000 fire incidents in Korea, with property damage from fires continuing to rise. The AI firefighting robot can help establish a system to prevent industrial accidents." He also added, "Since the implementation of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act in 2022, about 89% of related court rulings have resulted in guilty verdicts. As a result, employers' risks have increased, and companies' needs for preventive facility investments are expected to rise."

Emgen Solution is currently phasing out deficit-ridden and low-profit business units such as printer developers and bio divisions, and has been expanding its AI disaster safety business in earnest since last year. This business unit features 'AlphaShot,' an automated fire detection and suppression device, which offers the advantage of preemptively blocking fires and similar incidents. The company has supplied its solution to 10 sites so far, recording approximately 6.4 billion KRW in sales.

Researcher Lee further stated, "Emgen Solution's electrical and electronics business division has been producing power transformers and related products through its Vietnamese subsidiary since May last year, supplying them to Samsung Electronics' primary vendors. The company is aiming to achieve sales of 50 billion KRW in this business division through full automation."
