Trump Convenes National Security Team... Will the US Join Israel's Attack on Iran?

Axios and Bloomberg Report
On Social Media: "We Know the Whereabouts of Iran's Supreme Leader"
Increasing Pressure by Demanding "Unconditional Surrender"

According to reports by Axios and Bloomberg on June 17 (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump convened a meeting with his national security team at the White House to discuss the situation in the Middle East, after returning home a day earlier than scheduled from the Group of Seven (G7) summit.

Foreign media reported that this meeting is fueling speculation that the United States is increasingly likely to participate in Israel's operations against Iran.

President Trump is escalating pressure on Iran, which is currently engaged in an armed conflict with Israel, by demanding its "unconditional surrender." Notably, he revealed that he knows the whereabouts of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and even implied the possibility of assassination, further heightening tensions.

On the same day, President Trump posted on his self-created social networking service, Truth Social, stating, "We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding. He is an easy target, but he will be safe there. At least for now, we will not take him out (kill!)" He added, "My patience is wearing very thin," and shortly thereafter posted another message demanding, "Surrender unconditionally!"

Previously, on June 13, Israel struck Iran's nuclear facilities ahead of the sixth round of nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran. In April, President Trump had proposed a 60-day deadline for nuclear talks with Iran, but after Iran refused U.S. demands and the deadline expired, Israel launched a surprise airstrike on Iran the following day. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that airstrikes will continue until Iran's nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs are completely eliminated.

Currently, President Trump is reportedly considering providing Israel with decisive weapons, including bunker busters capable of directly striking Iran's underground nuclear facilities.
