Second Compensation Plan for All Members
5,000 Won Gift Certificate
30-Day Free Crema Club Membership
On June 17, Yes24, the online bookstore that has been experiencing service disruptions due to a ransomware hacking attack since June 9, announced a compensation plan for all its members. This is the second compensation plan, following the first one released on June 16.
The second compensation plan is a comprehensive measure targeting all customers who suffered direct or indirect damages due to the service outage. As a basic offering, Yes24 will provide all of its members with a 5,000 won Yes24 gift certificate and a free 30-day Crema Club membership.
The Yes24 gift certificate can be used for all product categories, including books, performances, music albums/DVDs, and at physical stores. It will be distributed on June 19 and can be used until July 6.
The free Crema Club membership will be provided on June 27 and can be used for 30 days without any additional payment. Existing Crema Club members can also register for this benefit. However, for members on the 99 plan, the 30-day free membership will be available, but due to the nature of bundled products with other companies, separate guidance and distribution will be provided later.
Additionally, all members who have purchased online products within the past year will receive one free shipping coupon. Members who have purchased e-books will receive a 5,000 won Yes24 gift certificate exclusively for e-books. These will be distributed on June 18 and can be used until July 6.
