On June 17, Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced that it will hold the solo exhibition "Life More Precious Than Currency - Kim Yukyung (Metis) AI Art Exhibition" at the Currency Museum's special exhibition hall from June 12 to June 22.
The exhibition centers around the philosophical question, "What is the value of life that cannot be measured in currency?" and features works that explore and express the boundaries between humanity and nature, as well as technology and emotion, through AI art.
Approximately 30 pieces will be displayed under the themes of "Abyss of Narrative," "Resonance of Emotion," and "Boundary of Value." The artist's message, "Life is deeper than technology and more precious than currency," is embodied in the AI artworks. The exhibition is particularly notable for its pursuit of new artistic inspiration through the fusion of the artist's unique perspective and AI art.
Kim Yukyung, an AI artist, is actively engaged in creative work that explores the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence, as well as the essence of digital sensibility and existence.
Kim Yukyung, who currently serves as the president of the Korea Chat GPT·AI Instructor Training Association, recently participated as a co-planner and judge for the "1st Korea Content Efficiency Association AI Art Contest," helping to raise awareness of the popularity and potential of AI art both domestically and internationally. She is also leading efforts to foster the AI art ecosystem by supporting follow-up exhibitions and content development.
Sung Changhoon, president of Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation, stated, "This exhibition is the first AI art exhibition held since the opening of the Currency Museum, presenting the possibilities of a new genre that fuses technology and art. Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation will continue to actively discover and support new and diverse exhibition and cultural content in the future."
