Supporting Self-Reliance and Creating Tailored Job Opportunities for Local Youth
The Busan Northern District Office of Employment and Labor (headed by Min Gwangje) is launching a practical support system for the self-reliance and social integration of at-risk youth in partnership with the Busan Youth Comprehensive Support Center.
The two organizations announced on June 17 that they had signed a memorandum of understanding at the Busan Youth Comprehensive Support Center and agreed to collaborate on tailored job placement and the establishment of a foundation for self-reliance.
This agreement stems from a shared recognition of the need for employment support services that encourage youth participation in social activities and promote stable self-reliance. In particular, it reflects a commitment to providing practical assistance through customized service connections for socially vulnerable youth.
The main points of the agreement include: △ linkage of youth employment support services △ cooperation on start-up and labor law support △ provision of integrated career guidance △ promotion of the National Employment Support System, among others.
Min Gwangje, head of the district office, stated, "With this agreement, we will strengthen comprehensive support for at-risk youth, including resume and cover letter writing, vocational training information, and basic labor law counseling." He emphasized, "By utilizing various youth support programs of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, we will provide open opportunities so that young people can explore careers suited to their talents and aptitudes and grow into healthy members of society."
The Busan Northern District Office plans to strengthen practical employment services for youth, such as career counseling, linkage to the National Employment Support System, and support for vocational training. The office also intends to expand cooperation with youth organizations in the future to focus on building a customized employment safety net for at-risk youth.
