Jeonnam Development Corporation Conducts Safety Inspection Ahead of Rainy Season Special Safety Inspection for the Rainy Season. Provided by Jeonnam Development Corporation

Jeonnam Development Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the Corporation) announced on the 17th that, in preparation for the full-scale rainy season, it conducted a special safety inspection from June 11 to 13 at five construction sites, including the Jeonnam-style Manwon Housing Project, to prevent safety accidents at construction sites.

This inspection was carried out by organizing a joint inspection team consisting of external experts from institutions such as the Korea Land and Infrastructure Safety Agency (KALIS) and the Korea Industrial Safety Association. The team focused on inspecting the overall construction sites under way, specifically looking at the risk of structural collapse, drainage systems, the management status of cut and fill slopes, as well as risks of electric shock and flooding.

Based on the results of this inspection, the Corporation has immediately corrected minor issues, and for matters requiring improvement, it plans to establish follow-up measures and address them promptly. During the rainy season, if weather advisories are issued, the Corporation will suspend construction and activate an emergency response system to further enhance on-site responsiveness.

President Jang Chungmo stated, "During the rainy season, even a small oversight can lead to major accidents involving human lives, so proactive inspections and preventive measures are more important than ever."
