According to police, at around 6:00 a.m. that day, Ms. A crashed into a patrol car from the Highway Patrol Unit of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency near the Siwha IC in Jeongwang-dong, Siheung. She then fled the scene, allegedly ramming a total of six patrol cars while continuing to ignore police orders to stop.

She was apprehended about 30 minutes after the initial incident, at around 6:30 a.m., on a road in Choji-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan, after being surrounded by multiple patrol cars. Police said they deployed a total of 12 patrol cars in the pursuit, chasing her for approximately 13 kilometers from the initial scene to the location of her arrest.

During the police investigation, Ms. A attempted self-harm and received medical treatment at a hospital. At around 1:00 p.m., after meeting with her family in the criminal investigation office at the police station, she suddenly injured herself with a utility cutter that was on a police officer's desk.

The injuries were reported to be minor. Police are considering whether to order an emergency hospitalization, as they believe Ms. A's psychological condition is unstable.
