Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province conducted a safety inspection on June 16 at four water play management areas?Osipcheon in Yeongdeok-eup, Ocheonsolbat in Jipum-myeon, Okgyegye Valley and Mujigaesup in Dalsan-myeon?to prevent safety accidents among vacationers ahead of the peak summer water recreation season.

On that day, County Governor Kim Gwangyeol visited the sites with relevant staff to review the response system for recent abnormal weather conditions. He also inspected the management status of facilities such as safety signs and life-saving equipment, as well as the deployment and working conditions of safety personnel, to prevent various safety accidents.
Based on the findings from this inspection, Yeongdeok County plans to promptly implement supplementary and improvement measures for identified risk factors. The county will also deploy 18 safety personnel across the four water play management areas to strengthen patrols, guidance, and monitoring activities, ensuring there are no gaps in safety management for summer vacationers.
Governor Kim Gwangyeol stated, "We will remain diligent in inspections and management so that everyone can enjoy the region's outstanding tourist attractions and vacation spots in a clean and safe environment."
