The event has received an enthusiastic response, with donors showing high interest and active participation from the very beginning. As sincere reviews from donors who have experienced Imsil County’s thank-you gifts accumulate, trust in the region’s specialty products is also increasing.
Interest in the event, which began on June 4, continues to grow, with many positive comments being posted. Out of a total of about 80 comments, reactions include, "The cheese selection is great," "I received my thank-you gift well," "Fast and fresh delivery," "Imsil Cheese is the best," "Imsil Cheese tastes great," and "Thumbs up for Imsil County's generosity."
The county is continuing various efforts to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program. In addition to online channels, it is actively promoting the program at local festivals and events of all sizes, as well as through visits to related organizations.
Recently, the county sent thank-you messages to all 11,578 donors since the program’s launch, along with texts encouraging point usage and providing information about fund-supported projects.
Donations to the Imsil County Hometown Love Fund are being used for projects such as supporting dairy products for school meals at local kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools, rural study-abroad vacant house regeneration, and youth monthly rent support.
In particular, the county’s signature thank-you gift, "ImsilN Cheese Yogurt," is being offered to donors at a 20% discounted price, which not only strengthens the practical benefits of donating but also helps promote consumption of local agricultural and specialty products.
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 20 million won per year to local governments (either basic or metropolitan) other than their place of residence.
Donations of up to 100,000 won are fully tax-deductible, and amounts exceeding that receive a 16.5% tax credit. Donors can also receive thank-you gifts such as local agricultural and specialty products up to 30% of their donation amount.
Donations can be easily made through the "Hometown Love eum" online platform or at any NongHyup branch nationwide. The Imsil County Hometown Love Donation Program website is also available. For more information, contact the Imsil County Public Relations Hometown Love Team.
County Governor Shim Min said, "We expect this event to help make the program even more trusted by reflecting donors’ honest feedback," adding, "We will continue to promote the excellence of thank-you gifts made with outstanding local agricultural and specialty products such as ImsilN Cheese, and will pursue various programs so that many people across the country can participate in donations."
