The Uljugun CCTV Integrated Control Center in Ulsan is playing a significant role in protecting the lives and safety of residents, based on real-time monitoring and close cooperation with relevant agencies.
According to Uljugun, in the early morning of June 16, a control center operator detected a scene suspected of drunk driving in real time at a market in Eonyang-eup, Uljugun, and immediately reported it to the police. The drunk driver was apprehended on the spot. It was confirmed that the driver’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.148%, which is above the license revocation level.
Earlier, on the evening of May 19, a report was received regarding a missing elderly person with dementia near Samnam-eup. The center rapidly shared information with the Uljugun Police Station situation room through a hotline, and by conducting an intensive analysis of CCTV footage, they were able to locate the elderly person early and ensure their safe return home.
An official from Uljugun stated, "The control center has skilled personnel who keep a constant watch in real time, 24 hours a day, to ensure the safety of our residents," and added, "We will make Uljugun even safer by installing new CCTVs in crime-prone areas and advancing our intelligent surveillance system."
The Uljugun CCTV Integrated Control Center is strengthening its role as a public safety platform by demonstrating its monitoring capabilities in various areas, including crime and accident prevention, missing person searches, and traffic accident response.
