Over 100 Million Won Donated to Disaster-Stricken Areas
Global consumer goods company P&G is building consumer trust through social contribution activities such as environmental protection and community support.
According to P&G on June 18, the company's environmental initiatives focus on education for future generations and providing accessible information in daily life. Since 2021, P&G has collaborated with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Korea to produce environmental storybooks for children, encouraging eco-friendly lifestyle habits.
This year, as in the previous year, P&G and WWF visited elementary schools to conduct the 'WWF-P&G Carbon Neutrality and Life Cycle Assessment Training.' During the training held at Bonghyeon Elementary School on the 12th, the concepts and practical methods of environmental protection were explained in a way that was easy for elementary students to understand. Additionally, the training covered 'Life Cycle Assessment,' which analyzes the environmental impact of products at every stage, effectively and accessibly delivering the message of environmental protection.

P&G is also strengthening its efforts to support community development. Through the 'Family Care Program,' the company continues to provide tailored assistance to marginalized groups facing economic hardship or lacking adequate care. Starting with Seoul Children's Hospital in 2018, P&G supported the remodeling of Boramae Hospital in 2019 and the Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine Department at Seoul Medical Center in 2025. Key spaces such as waiting rooms and examination rooms were transformed into comfortable and bright environments for attentive care. In February of this year, employees from P&G's diaper brand Pampers volunteered at the Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine Department of Seoul Medical Center.
P&G has also extended support to disaster-affected areas. In March, the company donated a total of 55.8 million won, including 5.8 million won voluntarily raised by employees, to aid recovery from large-scale wildfires that lasted for an extended period. In 2023, P&G contributed 30 million won to help restore facilities at schools in Cheongju and Daegu that were damaged by heavy rains. In 2022, the company donated approximately 110 million won to support wildfire victims in the Gangwon and North Gyeongsang regions, contributing to local recovery efforts.
