The highlight of this year's festival will be a water gun fight hosted by a DJ and a children's pool, where tourists can cool off and have a water battle together. From children to adults, everyone can shoot water guns at each other to lively music, beating the early summer heat in one go.
In addition, during the eel-catching event, anyone who catches an eel can immediately exchange it on-site for a prepared eel, and there will be a special prize event for those who catch a white eel.
Especially at the Gochang agricultural and specialty product market, visitors can purchase delicious bokbunja and watermelon grown in Gochang's sea breeze and fertile loess soil, known for their exceptional taste and aroma. This year, a sales booth has been set up in the parking lot to make it easier for tourists to buy and take home bokbunja and watermelon.
Kim Yongjin, head of the Agricultural Policy Division, said, "We have prepared a lot so you can recharge your energy with authentic Gochang watermelon and bokbunja and enjoy fun experiences. We hope many people will visit the festival to enjoy the flavors and charm of Gochang and give their enthusiastic support to our region."
