Lecture on "Beautiful Forest, Korean Gardens"
to Be Held on the 19th
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju announced on the 17th that it will hold a lecture on the theme of "Beautiful Forest, Korean Gardens" on the 19th, inviting world-renowned garden designer Hwang Jihae as the speaker.
This lecture is part of the Gwangsan Academy, which began in 2023, and is designed to share the philosophy of traditional Korean gardens and the value of coexistence with nature with citizens and public officials.
Hwang will introduce ways to experience and feel nature in everyday life, based on her garden design philosophy that embodies nonchalance and vitality.
The lecture will be held at the Gwangsan Culture and Arts Center and is open to the public free of charge. Advance registration is available through Gwangsan-gu's lifelong learning portal, "Baeurangke," and on-site registration will also be accepted on the day of the event.
