This special exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea Health Promotion Institute, and Korea Productivity Center to teach young children about the dangers of smoking and secondhand smoke, and to help them develop healthy lifestyle habits during their growth period through smoking prevention.

The reason the exhibition is recommended for young children rather than teenagers is to reflect the trend of decreasing age at which smoking begins and to educate young children, who are easily exposed to secondhand smoke, so that they do not perceive smoking as natural and can develop healthy attitudes.

The exhibition consists of 10 types of content, allowing children to enjoy a variety of experiences on the themes of smoking cessation and the environment as they adventure across the imaginary Ttuntun Island with animal characters from a fairy tale.

Main exhibits include: ▲ "Let's Create a Clean Environment," where participants separate cigarette butts and trash for recycling; ▲ "When Encountering Cigarette Smoke," which prepares children for exposure to cigarette smoke; ▲ "Cough Cough, It Hurts," which examines the human body affected by smoking; and ▲ "Forest Laboratory," which compares living creatures to explore the dangers of cigarettes.

The exhibition is held at the Dream Narae Garden on the first floor of the Busan National Science Museum and is open to everyone without the need for tickets.

There is also a smoking prevention education program for young children, including an exhibition tour, available for group reservations. Groups wishing to participate can inquire by phone.

Kwon Sujin, Head of Science Culture at the Busan National Science Museum, said, "This exhibition is a traveling exhibition designed to help young children recognize the dangers of smoking through play," and added, "We will continue to present a variety of meaningful content tailored to children, fulfilling our role as a comprehensive science and culture space."
