Jaseng Medical Foundation announced on the 17th that, in honor of Patriots and Veterans Month, it carried out a grave site cleaning volunteer activity at the National Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, Seoul on the 16th.

A total of 25 employees and volunteers from Jaseng Medical Foundation participated in the event. They began with a moment of silence for the fallen patriots, then cleaned the gravestones in sections 27, 28, and 29, and collected trash, weeds, and other debris as part of the environmental cleanup activities.

Since 2017, Jaseng Medical Foundation has conducted grave site cleaning activities at the cemetery every June, which is recognized as Patriots and Veterans Month. This initiative aims to carry on the legacy of Shin Gwangryeol, an independence activist and father of Dr. Shin Joonshik, the founder of Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine. Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine, as a hospital that upholds Shin Gwangryeol's management philosophy of "compassion for those in need" and the spirit of the independence movement, continues to contribute to expanding respect for those who devoted themselves to the country and to promoting a culture of honoring patriots and veterans.

In particular, Jaseng Medical Foundation has consistently provided medical, living, and housing support for independence activists, Korean War veterans, national merit recipients, and their families. The foundation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to support medical and living needs for national merit recipients, and each year provides bedding sets and daily necessities worth 100 million won to 800 descendants of independence activists and vulnerable national merit recipients. Last year, the foundation was awarded the 25th Patriots and Veterans Culture Award, hosted by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

Park Byungmo, Chairman of Jaseng Medical Foundation, stated, "It was a truly meaningful time to honor the sacrifice of national heroes who gave their precious lives for the country and to reflect on their spirit." He added, "Jaseng Medical Foundation and Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine will continue to take the lead in building a society where national merit recipients and their families who have dedicated themselves to the country receive the recognition they deserve."
