Special Events Marking the 40th Anniversary of Public Transportation Also Draw Attention
Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) will participate in the nation’s largest railway industry exhibition, the "2025 Busan International Railway Technology Industry Exhibition (RailLog Korea 2025)," which will be held at BEXCO from June 18 to 21. The corporation plans to showcase a wide range of future technologies for urban railways and citizen-centered services.
RailLog Korea is a biennial international railway industry expo, recognized as a leading exhibition where domestic and international transportation and railway companies and organizations share future transportation technologies and solutions.
At this year’s exhibition, the corporation will operate a comprehensive promotional booth that brings together achievements in digital transformation (DX) technologies, smart control and predictive maintenance systems, and citizen-oriented safety technologies.
Notable technologies on display include an AI-based crowd density alert system, an integrated management platform for vehicle, signal, and communication data, and a derailment prevention system using wheel roughness measurement. The results of safety management systems focused on prevention and the digital transformation of urban railway operations will be vividly presented through physical models and video materials.
User-friendly technologies such as disaster response systems for deep underground railway facilities, systems to prevent human error by railway workers, priority seating alerts for pregnant passengers, and automatic safety platforms will also be exhibited.
The corporation has also enhanced interactive content for visitors. Experiences such as a virtual reality subway ride, a driving simulator, and a demonstration of the Nopo-Yangsan Line gate will allow participants to engage their senses and experience the railway operating environment firsthand.
A customized career counseling booth for job seekers will also be available. Human resources staff from the corporation will provide practical career guidelines, including information on obtaining train operator licenses and pursuing careers in railway control.
President Lee Byungjin stated, "This will be an opportunity to share innovative technologies such as AI and DX with citizens and to reflect together on the future direction of urban railways," adding, "In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the opening of the urban railway, we also plan to hold events that highlight the social value of transportation."
During the exhibition, on June 19, the corporation will also host the Busan Public Transportation Future Forum policy debate on the theme of "The Social Value of Public Transportation" and the KCOSE Spring Seminar, aiming to create an integrated platform that brings together policy, technology, and society.
