Over 400 Middle, High School, and University Students Participate Nationwide
Sangmyung University announced on June 17 that it had successfully hosted the "2025 15th Sangmyung University National Dance Competition."
The "Sangmyung University National Dance Competition" is organized by the Department of Dance Arts within the School of Sports Dance to discover future dance talents with outstanding abilities from across the country. The competition began on May 31 with the contemporary dance and Korean dance categories, followed by the Korean dance and ballet categories on June 1. All events were held at the Gyedang Hall of Sangmyung Art Center Grand Theater.
The awards ceremony took place on June 7 at the Daeshin Hall of Sangmyung Art Center. The grand prize in each category was awarded to Lee Chaeyoon (Seoul Arts High School) in the Korean dance category and Yoon Chaewon (Seoul Girls' High School) in the contemporary dance category. In addition, the exemplary educator awards went to Seol Jayoung (Sunhwa Arts High School), Park Sunhee (Gwangju Royal Ballet Academy), and Koo Doyeon (Chungnam Arts High School).
President Hong Sungtae stated, "We will continue to provide broad opportunities and unwavering support so that students with artistic potential can fully demonstrate their abilities."
