According to the Daegu Regional Veterans Affairs Office on June 16, this campaign is jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare. It is being conducted nationwide in a relay format, mainly involving heads of government ministries and public institutions.

Launched in October of last year, the campaign seeks to improve public awareness of demographic changes caused by low birth rates and rapid aging, and to build a consensus on how to respond to these issues.

Director Kim Jongsul commented on the office's participation in the campaign, stating, "Population issues are not only a matter of individual lives but are also a critical challenge directly linked to the sustainability of our nation and society. I hope this campaign serves as an opportunity for all citizens to recognize the seriousness of the issue and come together to seek solutions."

Director Kim joined the campaign following the nomination by Han Kyungseon, Director of the Daegu Regional Tax Office, and passed the baton to the next relay participants: Kim Jinsik, Director of the Daegu Regional Environmental Office, and Kim Donghyun, Director of the Daegu Regional Correctional Office.

With a large number of elderly veterans' families under its care, the Daegu Regional Veterans Affairs Office is recognized as one of the institutions most acutely aware of the impacts of population aging. The office has also taken proactive steps in responding to related policy challenges. Its participation in this campaign is seen as part of fulfilling the social responsibility of public institutions.
