AI-powered electronic whiteboard to launch next month
Summarizes materials, translates foreign languages, and performs real-time calculations
LG Electronics is introducing an electronic whiteboard capable of summarizing lesson materials and providing real-time translation.
On June 17, LG Electronics announced that it will launch a new electronic whiteboard equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features designed for convenient use by both teachers and learners in July.

The new AI features can be easily used as long as the device is connected to the internet. The 'AI Summary (Video Summary)' feature helps learners understand by summarizing video materials. The 'AI Live Subtitle/Translation' function displays class content as subtitles, allowing learners who do not understand foreign languages to comprehend lessons conducted in foreign languages. The 'Calculator Pro' feature enables quick calculation of simple formulas using touch functionality.
In addition, the LG electronic whiteboard offers various features for efficient learning, including: ▲ 'AI Chatbot (Ask LG)' that answers questions based on a large language model (LLM); ▲ 'AI Mind-map (AI Topic/Mind-map)' that analyzes images or text and presents topics in a mind map format; and ▲ 'Circle To Search,' which provides information related to text or images inside a circle drawn on the screen.
Along with powerful AI features, the device also offers differentiated 'education-specialized' solutions. The wireless screen sharing solution, 'LG CreateBoard Share,' enables easy connection with external devices running various operating systems, including Windows, Android, and iOS. Up to nine screens can be viewed simultaneously, making it convenient to share students' work during lessons. The writing solution, 'LG CreateBoard Lab,' provides user-friendly convenience through an intuitive and simple user interface (UI) design that anyone can use.
These solutions allow teachers to move freely around the classroom while conducting lessons. When a tablet is linked with the electronic whiteboard, additional materials such as images or videos found via web browsing can be added to written notes with a single touch. Materials can also be easily shared with students with just one click.

The LG electronic whiteboard has also obtained Google EDLA (Enterprise Device Licensing Agreement) certification, enabling the use of various applications from the Google Play Store. This is a compatibility certification for devices based on the Android operating system. Additionally, through the display remote management solution 'LG ConnectedCare,' the status of multiple devices can be managed simultaneously to respond to security threats.
LG Electronics plans to showcase its entire lineup of electronic whiteboards, including the new product, at 'ISTE 2025,' the world's largest educational technology expo, which will be held in San Antonio, United States, for four days starting June 29.
