'Home Plate' Team Wins KOSAC Challenger Prize
with Digital Solution for Seniors
The Department of Media, Video, Advertising, and Public Relations at Daegu Catholic University has achieved the distinction of winning awards for three consecutive years at the Korea Student Advertising Competition (KOSAC), the largest university student advertising contest in Korea.

At this year's first-half competition, the 'Home Plate' team?composed of Hyo Ri Kim from the Media and Video major, and So Won Kim, Hye Won Noh, Su Yeon Park, and Geum Ju Jeon from the Advertising and Public Relations major?proposed a "Digital Ticket Reservation Tutorial Solution for the Senior Generation for Professional Baseball." The team was awarded the KOSAC Challenger Prize.
KOSAC is the largest university student advertising competition in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Federation of Advertising Associations, with sponsorship from major domestic and international advertising agencies and related academic societies.
This year, a total of 5,752 students and 454 faculty advisors from 151 universities nationwide participated, submitting 1,505 entries.
Team leader Hyo Ri Kim expressed her thoughts, saying, "I am truly grateful to my teammates who worked together from the initial idea to the completion of the proposal in such a short period of time. By making the most of each other's strengths, we were able to achieve a great result."
Professor Min Byungwoon stated, "As the scale of the competition grows and the quality of the entries improves each year, I find great significance in the fact that students from the Department of Media, Video, Advertising, and Public Relations have won awards for three consecutive years."
