Professor Jeong Yeoncheol of Honam University Proposes Policies at "eSports Policy Forum"

Jeong Yeoncheol, Professor in the Department of eSports Industry at Honam University, announced on the 16th that he participated as a presenter at the 2025 Korea eSports Policy Forum, titled "eSports: Hopes for the New Government," held recently at the National Assembly Library seminar room.

This forum, which aimed to propose eSports policies, was organized by the Korean Society of Physical Education and the Korea eSports Industry Association. It was held amid rising expectations for the eSports industry in line with the new government's K-initiative policy direction.

Professor Jeong, under the theme "eSports Policy Proposals for Everyone," suggested the establishment of a Life eSports Association and the operation of a "Korea University eSports League" to expand eSports as a form of everyday sports. He also proposed measures to vitalize school eSports for the systematic support of youth eSports.

In addition, he proposed policy measures for the development of eSports for people with disabilities, including the use of local Bandabi Sports Centers as training facilities and systematic support for training.
