Blocking the Passage with Corner Parking... Sent a Message, Got a Brazen Reply

Car Owner Blocks Corner Passage with Parking
After Receiving a Text Asking for Consideration Among Residents,
Replies, "Instead of Standing in Front of My Car and Sending a Message,
Just Turn the Wheel One More Time and Drive Around"

A post claiming that a resident parked their car blocking a corner in an apartment underground parking lot, where vehicles need to pass, and then responded with a brazen attitude to another resident’s complaint, has sparked controversy.

On June 15, an online community, BobaeDream, featured a post titled "Parking like this and acting shameless." The author, identified as A, wrote, "This is on the first basement floor of the apartment parking lot," and attached a photo. The photo showed a white BMW parked at the corner of the parking lot. The vehicle’s body was protruding about halfway into the passageway, more so than the other parked cars.

A explained, "It was so difficult to turn the corner that I sent a text message," and shared the content of the message sent to the BMW owner. In the message, A wrote, "Sorry for contacting you so early in the morning. When you park like this, isn’t it very difficult for others to turn the corner? Please be considerate as fellow residents. There are plenty of parking spaces on the second basement floor."

The BMW owner replied, "Don’t contact me personally like this. Consideration among residents should also mean understanding and accommodating situations like this, especially in a neighborhood where parking is so scarce. I have lived here for years and have never sent such a message. Instead of standing in front of my car and sending a text in the early morning, just turn the wheel one more time and drive around."

In response, A expressed anger, saying, "It’s shameless to park like this just for your own convenience." The next day, A revealed that a formal complaint titled "Complaint Regarding Parking Disputes and Rude Behavior" was submitted to the apartment residents’ representative. A added, "It seems I have no choice but to hope the management office will handle this appropriately."

Upon hearing about the incident, online commenters reacted with statements such as, "Parking that causes accidents should also be punishable," "Instead of writing a long text, just park on the lower floor," "Why act like this when the car is so expensive?" "I thought someone was writing about my apartment," "There are so many people double-parking these days," "If you live in a shared residence, you should follow the rules," and "It’s a blessing to have good neighbors," among other responses.
