These days, advertisements featuring AI-generated models holding fashion shows on Mars are no longer surprising. Instead, the boundary between reality and AI-produced ads is disappearing. Can advertisements for home appliances, which we encounter most frequently in everyday life, be created using AI? The 'kimchi refrigerator' advertisement produced by AI media tech company Junto is providing the answer.

Junto succeeded in establishing an AI advertising production workflow through three innovative strategies. Based on the experience gained from this project, Junto was able to define three core strategies for AI-based advertising production.

The first is strengthening technological capabilities. Junto clearly identified the controllable range of AI-generated images and videos and developed technology to secure consistent results. This enabled precise control over detailed elements such as natural layouts, lighting, and human expressions, minimizing the unique sense of artificiality often associated with AI.

The second is building a hybrid workflow. By organically combining AI technology with traditional advertising production techniques, Junto achieved both efficiency and quality. Specialized roles were assigned to each stage of production, enhancing the overall completeness of the final product.

The third is developing an independent solution model. Rather than simply incorporating AI into existing advertising methods, Junto designed a dedicated AI service model. By predefining models and setting modification scopes, they maximized client satisfaction while achieving efficient production processes and cost reduction.

Ji Hyecheon, CCD of Junto, and Lee Seunghoon, CTO, stated, "Through this project, we confirmed that while AI is not a magician, it can drive innovation if the optimal workflow is established," adding, "A hybrid approach that combines the strengths of AI and traditional production techniques will become the core of advertising production."

They also revealed future plans, saying, "We will not simply apply AI to existing methods, but will create new service models possible only with AI to lead the market." This project was commissioned directly by a major domestic corporation and served as an opportunity to establish practical AI utilization guidelines in the advertising production industry.

In particular, by clearly recognizing the limitations of AI technology and presenting methodologies to address them, the project is being evaluated as having prevented indiscriminate AI adoption in the industry and provided efficient utilization strategies. Industry experts commented, "This is a meaningful project that objectively analyzed the impact of generative AI technology on advertising production and presented practical solutions," and added, "It will contribute to the healthy development of the AI-based advertising production market in the future."
