On June 16, the Hongju Cultural Tourism Foundation in Chungnam announced that the "2025 Hongseong County Orchestra Regular Concert" will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at the Grand Performance Hall of the Hongju Cultural Center.
This marks the 11th annual regular concert of the Hongseong County Orchestra. Under the theme "A Midsummer Night Flowing with Music," the orchestra plans to welcome the audience with beautiful melodies and a diverse program.
The concert program includes a variety of performances such as Freddie Mercury's "Bohemian Rhapsody," thematic arias from Franz Leh?r's operas "The Merry Widow" and "The Land of Smiles," and the main theme from John Williams' "Star Wars" original soundtrack.
In particular, the concert will feature orchestral renditions of hit songs by Cho Yongpil, as well as collaborative performances with tenor Lim Changjin and soprano Lee Eunjung, both of whom are from Hongseong, promising the audience a sweet and lively stage.
Conducted by Sung Jujin and hosted by professional emcee Lim Hyerim, the concert will also include easy-to-understand commentary on each piece, which is expected to enhance the audience's understanding and engagement.
Admission to this performance is free for all seats and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meanwhile, the Hongseong County Orchestra, founded in 2017, has greatly contributed to the development of local culture and the arts by expanding opportunities for residents to enjoy culture through a variety of performances. These include genres ranging from traditional classical and semi-classical to film music, as well as outreach concerts for students in the region.
