Shinhan Financial Group Employees Volunteer for Andong Wildfire Recovery

A total support fund of 2 billion KRW established in March
Step-by-step assistance continues

Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 16th that on the 13th, its employees conducted volunteer activities for the recovery of large-scale wildfire damage in the Andong region of Gyeongbuk, in cooperation with the Seoul Volunteer Center.

About 30 employees participated in forest restoration by planting trees and herbaceous plants, and delivered essential goods kits consisting of food and hygiene products to residents affected by the disaster.


In March, Shinhan Financial Group established a recovery support fund totaling 2 billion KRW for wildfire damage recovery. In addition, employees have directly raised approximately 250 million KRW in donations, which are being used to support recovery efforts.


A representative of Shinhan Financial Group stated, "In July of last year, we established a permanent response system for disaster relief, enabling prompt support for those affected through our bank's regional headquarters and local governments."


Meanwhile, Shinhan Financial Group is continuing its support by selecting the fifth campaign of the 'Leading by Example Relay'?in which employees directly participate from proposing ideas to fundraising and volunteering?as 'Support for Wildfire Damage Recovery and On-site Activities of Firefighting Heroes.'
