Cheonan to Conduct Water Supply Flushing in Buldang-dong from June 18...Caution Advised for Turbid Water

On June 16, the city of Cheonan in South Chungcheong Province announced that it will carry out water supply flushing operations in the Buldang-dong area from June 18 to June 19.

This operation is being conducted to ensure a stable water supply following the construction of the new Ssangyong Expansion Reservoir with a capacity of 15,000 tons and the installation of 4.6 kilometers of new water pipelines.

The work is scheduled to take place from midnight to 6 a.m. to minimize inconvenience to residents, such as the inflow of turbid water.

Apartment complexes, schools, and other facilities with high water usage should close their valves to prevent turbid water from entering their water storage tanks. If water needs to be used during nighttime hours, residents are advised to secure household water in advance.

If turbid water persists after the operation, residents are encouraged to contact the Water Supply Division or the Waterworks Call Center. The city will have emergency water supply vehicles on standby in preparation for any occurrence of turbid water.

Kim Woong, head of the city's Clean Water Project Headquarters, stated, "This operation will help stabilize the water supply system and improve water pressure in the Buldang-dong area. We will do our utmost to minimize any inconvenience to residents."
