Until July 13...
Household safety products worth 20,000 won to be awarded
Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province will hold an online quiz event on flood and water safety until July 13, aiming to prevent accidents and raise safety awareness among residents.
According to the province on June 16, this event was organized in response to the expected increase in the frequency of floods and water-related disasters, such as typhoons and localized heavy rainfall, due to global climate change. The purpose is to remind all residents of flood preparedness guidelines and to prepare for the summer water recreation season.
The quiz event will cover two themes: flood response guidelines and summer water safety rules. It will be held at two-week intervals. Residents can participate through the official social media accounts of Jeonbuk Province (including Facebook, KakaoStory, and the KakaoTalk channel news section). After reviewing the safety guidelines, participants can enter by submitting the correct answers in the comments section.
In particular, to encourage widespread interest and participation among residents, the event is designed so that anyone can find the correct answers simply by reading the safety guidelines. Fifty winners (25 per round) will be selected by lottery and will receive household safety products worth 20,000 won each.
Going forward, the province plans to continue selecting safety themes appropriate to each season and time period, and will conduct campaigns with 14 cities and counties, as well as private organizations, on the fourth day of every month. Through these and other safety culture activities, Jeonbuk Province will continue to promote the importance of accident prevention in daily life.
Oh Taeklim, Director of Resident Safety, stated, "We will continue our efforts to spread a culture of safety among residents through various events such as quiz events and campaigns, so that Jeonbuk Province can become the region with the highest level of safety awareness in the country." He added, "We ask for the interest and participation of many residents in this event as well."
