Sharing the Green Book and Gathering Residents' Opinions
Second Phase of Social Dialogue for White Paper Production
On June 16, Gwangsan District in Gwangju announced that it will operate the "Sustainable Job Dialogue Forum on the Move" to establish a foundation for the second phase of social dialogue, which is being promoted based on the Sustainable Job Green Book.
The forum has been organized to share the progress of the policy to create a sustainable job special zone, which is a key initiative of the 8th popularly elected administration, and to discuss the core questions contained in the Green Book, as well as to hear residents' opinions about good jobs. Starting with Singa-dong on June 10, Gwangsan District will continue the forum by visiting 21 neighborhoods until July 10.
Park Byungkyu, mayor of Gwangsan District, is communicating with citizens on the theme of citizens and jobs by sharing the progress of initiatives such as citizen-participatory social dialogue for the creation of a sustainable job special zone and the publication of the Green Book at the sustainable job dialogue forum visiting 21 neighborhoods. Mayor Park Byungkyu is participating in person to explain the background of the policy, the establishment of a dedicated department, and the current status of social dialogue operations, and to communicate with residents. Mayor Park emphasized, "Social dialogue and consensus are the solutions to realizing sustainable and quality jobs," and called for participation in the second phase of social dialogue for the production of the White Paper.
The second phase of social dialogue will be led by the Sustainable Job Special Zone Promotion Team, newly established this year, and the "Sustainable Job Association," a dedicated social dialogue organization.
Focusing on the 20 core questions outlined in the Green Book, Gwangsan District will produce a White Paper containing job innovation measures within this year through dialogue with citizens, experts, and stakeholders. Once the White Paper is completed, a Blue Book, which will serve as an implementation plan, will be created, leading to the launch of a pilot project in 2026. Additionally, the district will provide information and schedules for the forum via its website and official social media channels, and will also operate an online social dialogue platform.
