First Model with Cell-to-Body and Dual Motor Technology
Accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.8 Seconds
BYD Korea announced on June 16 that it will display the 'BYD SEAL,' scheduled for release in the second half of this year, at 15 showrooms nationwide.
The SEAL is a performance-oriented mid-size electric sedan that represents a new value for the BYD brand. It features a sleek and solid coupe-style design, with an interior that combines a sporty and luxurious atmosphere. Notably, it is the first model in BYD's electric vehicle lineup to incorporate Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology.
The vehicle on display is the BYD SEAL AWD (all-wheel drive) model equipped with dual motors. It features the iTAC (Intelligent Torque Adaptation Control) system to maximize driving performance, and can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
Cho Incheol, Head of Passenger Vehicles at BYD Korea, stated, "Although there are still processes remaining before the official launch, such as the announcement of eco-friendly vehicle regulations and the calculation of electric vehicle subsidies, we decided to hold a preview exhibition at showrooms nationwide so that customers can experience the BYD SEAL earlier and have their questions answered."
BYD Korea unveiled the BYD SEAL at the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show' in April, announcing plans to launch both RWD (rear-wheel drive) and AWD trims. The price is expected to be set between 47.5 million won and 52.5 million won (after eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits, excluding subsidies). The official launch date and final price will be announced at a later time.
