Stream Facility in Operation... Ground Fountain to Open from the 28th
Sequential Opening of 73 Water Facilities Across the City
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on June 16 that it will fully operate the water facilities inside Yongin Rural Theme Park for the summer season.
'Yongin Rural Theme Park' is an experiential park located at 871-3 Saam-ri, Wonsam-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin, with an area of 101,496 square meters. The park's water facilities are designed to let visitors cool off to the sound of water in a natural setting, featuring a ground fountain and a flowing stream.

The city is keeping the stream facility open at all times and plans to operate the ground fountain starting from the 28th. To ensure safety and hygiene for visitors, the city will clean the water facilities twice a week and conduct water quality tests once every two weeks. The water in the ground fountain will be replaced daily.
In addition, the city will sequentially open 73 water facilities installed in 66 parks across the region starting from the 18th. The facilities to be operated include 10 water play combination playgrounds, 1 musical fountain (Dongbaek Lake Park), 31 wall and stream facilities, 30 ground fountains, and 1 other type of facility.
The water play combination playgrounds are located at: Hansup Haetbit Neighborhood Park (Wanjang-ri, Namsa-eup), Neulpum Children's Park (Yeokbuk-dong), Jungang Mulbit Children's Park (Kimnyangjang-dong), Muljandi Children's Park (Wangsan-ri, Mohyeon-eup), Mulnaeum Children's Park (Seocheon-dong), Saekdong Jeogori Children's Park (Bora-dong), Pureunae Children's Park (Dongbaek-dong), Byeoldaol Children's Park (Seongbok-dong), Sinbong Healing Neighborhood Park (Sinbong-dong), and Jukjeon Children's Park (Jukjeon-dong).
The water facilities will be operated daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until September 7. However, the water play combination playgrounds will be available from July 15 to August 17. Among them, the water play facility at Byeoldaol Children's Park will be open on a trial basis for nighttime operation until 8:00 p.m. during this period.
To ensure the safety of users, the city will disinfect the water facilities daily, conduct water quality tests once a week, and assign four safety personnel to each combination playground facility.
